The surgery has recently opened a new
diagnostic centre in a converted barn adjacent to
the main surgery. This has been integrated into the surgery and aims
to provide a
comprehensive diagnostic service not only to patients from the
Wansford practice but
also to patients from the Greater Peterborough area.
The Trust was pleased to make a grant of £35,000 which will be used
to purchase
equipment, including:
● an echocardiography machine (helpful in
the diagnosis of heart failure and other
cardiac conditions)
● a 24 hour ECG machine, for the analysis of
heart rhythm problems
● a slit lamp, used for detailed examination
of the eye
● a tonometer for measuring the pressure in
the eye (important for glaucoma
diagnosis)
● ENT equipment, including microsuction |
